SUMMER CAMP
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
HIP HOP
Fast moving, non-stop dancing, and fun music is what this class offers. This Hip Hop is for any dancer who wants to move, have fun, and learn the latest in Hip Hop choreography!
Parents: All music is clean and edited
JAZZ/BALLET
Jazz and Ballet are two of the most important disciplines in the world of dance and Studio-310 presents them to even the youngest students. Kids will rock in this class because they are doing their plie Jazz and Ballet technique will be explored in this class. This jazz/ballet is like no other. You will never find a jazz/ballet class where you plie to the Cheetah Girls!
HIP HOP/BALLET
A perfect combination of ballet technique, made fun by ending with some fun and funky hip hop moves. Ballet bars, center work, across the floor, and great dance technique are all offered in this class.
TAP/BALLET
This class breaks down the basic steps of tap and ballet and brings them to your child in a fun and easy fashion. Enjoyment of movement and dance is the goal for these young dancers as Studio-310 understands that this is only the start for these young stars. These beginning years are the most important for your child to learn that dance is for everyone, no matter what skill level they have. We ALL have fun in this class.
BOYS ONLY BREAKDANCE
Just like it sounds! This class is for boys only!! If your son loves to dance and has a lot of energy this class is for him! As this class progresses, your son will be hip hopping and popping once like a true professional.
POMS
Montgomery county High Schools do it! And so do we! Pom dancing is one of the most popular activities in our area. Studio-310 gets your dancer ready for the team with our instructors, who happen to be local high school Pom coaches!
TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING
If you are looking to burn some calories, this class is for you. High impact, non-stop, boot camp style workout will really make you muscles burn while you burn those unwanted calories. In this class we use benches, light weights, resistance bands, and other fitness techniques to get your muscles toned. Start your day with this full body work and feel great about what you’ll accomplish in this class!
CARDIO HIP HOP
Janet Jackson and Madonna do it – why can’t you? Hip Hop dance is the latest craze in exercise on the West coast and Studio-310 brings it to every one in Montgomery County! This class incorporates basic Hip-Hop choreography into a low impact, extremely fun cardio workout. With easy to learn steps, yet the coolest and latest hip hop music this is an excellent work out for everyone. You’ll be sure to sweat your way to a healthier you!
CARDIO DANCE
Slightly different from Studio-310’s Cardio Hip Hop, Cardio Dance incorporates basic jazz moves and funky dance steps with fast paced music allowing you to burn calories and fat. This class is so much fun, you’ll forget you’re working out.
CARDIO BALLET
This class Does Not have tutus, tiaras or classical music, but what this class does have is Ballet bars, mats, weights, and stretching to up beat and motivational music. This class is for everyone! Studio-310’s goal is to use the basic ballet techniques to get you into the best shape of your life! Try it once and you’ll understand why it’s called Cardio Ballet!
ZUMBA
Latin dance at its finest! That is all that can be said for this fabulous class. It is a high energy workout with Latin music from around the world. The steps are easy to follow and the results are lasting!!! This class is for both men and women.
URBAN DANCE
AKA: Cardio Strip Tease! No poles, fishnets, or stilettos involved! Fun, exotic, burlesque choreography and movement help bring out the sexy, confident woman in you! Not to mention giving you a new found appreciation for the real strippers! (Ladies Night is held once a month, please email to inquire for times/dates)
BODY SCULPT
Non impact, weight training style workout. This class is designed to tone your body and make it lean. In this class we use weights, resistance bands, and your body to get the ultimate workout. BYOW--Bring your own weights. (5lb weights and resistance bands are provided)
POWER YOGA
A constant moving, flowing yoga that concentrates on keeping your body moving and increasing your heart rate. Core stability, balance, and strength training are also components of this class.
JUMP IN THE TRUNK
A 30 min Power Workout. 1/2 hour of jump rope and lower body excercises. Your in, you're out...and your work'ed' out!
BELLY DANCE
Sophisticated...spiritual....irresistible...This dance is suitable for all ages, shapes. and sizes, and does not require any prior dance experience. Belly dancing provides an aerobic workout that is gentle on the body, trims the waist, and is exhilarating for the spirit! Students learn the foundations of ancient Middle Eastern dance movements and muscle control while exploring Middle Eastern rhythms and melodies. Participants may dance barefoot or in soft dance shoes, and may wear leotard and tights or any comfortable form-fitting attire that permits instructor's viewing of the torso; midriff baring is optional. Bring a scarf to tie around your hips.
CROSSFIT
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.Using apparatus such as kettlbells, battling ropes, free weight, and self body weight; we will take you past your comfort level to reach a capacity you thought was unattainable.
COMPETITION DANCE
Poms, Cheer, turns, technique and choreography are taught in this class. Your dancer will learn skills they will take with them if they wish to continue onto
High School poms or any kind of competition dance. This class is for everyone who wants to learn the “ins and outs” of the competitive dance world.
POM/CHEER
Class instructed by Cece Teppert, Northwest HS Pom coach. Cece brings
with her, years of experience, quality instruction, and a passion for what she does. In
this class, dancers will learn what it takes to be a pom.
BOXING BOOTCAMP
Class instructed by Cece Teppert, Northwest HS Pom coach. Cece brings with her, years of experience, quality instruction, and a passion for what she does. In this class, dancers will learn what it takes to be a pom.
KICKBOXING
Kickboxing blends athletic drills with martial arts to create an intense
cardiovascular workout. Kickboxing is one of the most popular fitness trends to hit
gymnasiums in recent years. This intense, total-body workout can improve strength,
aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination, balance while shedding those unwanted
pounds.
- “Fight like a girl”: Kickboxing.
TEEN KICKBOXING
Ages 12-16: All encompassing cardiovascular and strength workout with
Kickboxing technique. Just like the class for adults, but this one is strictly for 16 and under!.
